All India Management Association (AIMA), the apex body for management in India, has expanded its footprint in management education through strategic tie-ups with leading business schools across the country for the Management Aptitude Test (MAT). Recognized as a national-level entrance exam, MAT serves as a gateway for MBA and allied programs, offering aspirants access to over 600 esteemed business schools.



Speaking on the growing significance of MAT in India's management education landscape, Mr. Daljeet Singh Director (CMS), AIMA said, "Our objective is to provide management aspirants with a robust, credible, and nationally recognized entrance platform that enables them to secure admission in some of the country's best B-schools. These new tie-ups further strengthen MAT's role as a premier gateway for management education, ensuring accessibility to high-quality institutions across all regions of India."



With a vision to provide students with diverse and quality management education opportunities, AIMA has collaborated with leading institutions across all four regions—North, East, West, and South.



In addition to private institutions, AIMA is also strengthening its collaborations with government and government-aided institutions. Some of the notable tie-ups include NIT Jalandhar, NIT Silchar, NIT Kurukshetra, the National Academy of Defence Production (NADP), Nagpur, Institute of Insurance and Risk Management – Hyderabad, Indian Institute of Plantation Management, Bengaluru and Jamia Hamdard-School of Management & Business Studies, New Delhi. These partnerships highlight AIMA's commitment to bridge the gap between management education and industry requirements, ensuring students receive an education that aligns with evolving market needs.



In the North, institutions such as Birla Institute of Management & Technology (BIMTECH), Greater Noida; New Delhi Institute of Management; Delhi Schools of Business; IMS Ghaziabad; Lovely Professional University and Jaipuria Institute of Management, Noida are among the premier institutes accepting MAT scores.



In the East, MAT candidates can now secure admission to reputed institutions such as KIIT School of Management, Bhubaneswar; Development Management Institute, Patna; Dibrugarh University, Dibrugarh; Calcutta Business School, Kolkata; NERIM Group of Institutions, Guwahati; Netaji Subhas University, Jamshedpur and MIT University, Shillong. These institutions offer world-class business education, fostering leadership and innovation.



Western India continues to be a thriving hub for management education, with renowned institutions such as Dr D Y Patil B School, Pune; Institute of Management Development and Research (IMDR), Pune; Christ University - School of Business and Management, Pune, Indian Education Society Management College and Research Centre, Mumbai; and Gujarat Maritime University, Gandhinagar, accepting MAT scores for their MBA programs.



The Southern region, home to some of India's most sought-after business schools, also welcomes MAT candidates into prestigious institutions like Christ University-School of Business and Management, Bengaluru; PSG Institute of Management, Coimbatore; Jain University Bengaluru; Xavier Institute of Management & Entrepreneurship, Chennai; Rajagiri Business School, Kochi; Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore and Institute of Insurance and Risk Management, Hyderabad. These partnerships ensure that students gain access to top-tier management education, empowering them with the skills necessary to excel in today's dynamic business environment.



With MAT conducted four times a year—in February, May, August, and December—students have multiple opportunities to secure a seat in their preferred management program.
