Noida: The 23rd of January is celebrated as Parakram Diwas every year to inspire people of the country, especially the youth, to act with fortitude in the face of adversity as Netaji did, and to infuse in them a spirit of patriotic fervour.

“Way back in 2016 we launched Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Forum at Asian Academy of Film and Television to highlight the ideology of Netaji. Since then, we have been celebrating Parakram Day every year,” said Sandeep Marwah Chair for Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Forum.

Subhash Chandra Bose was an Indian revolutionary who believed in violent resistance to British rule. He joined the Indian National Army in 1943. One of his most famous declarations was ‘Tum mujhe khoon do mai tumhe azadi doonga’ -Give me blood, I shall give you freedom added  Sandeep Marwah also President of Marwah Studios.

Sandeep Marwah repeated the quotes   said by Netaji-One individual may die for an idea, but that idea will, after his death, incarnate itself in a thousand lives- Freedom is not given, it is taken- Life loses half its interest if there is no struggle – if there are no risks to be taken- No real change in history has been achieved by discussion.

“Netaji’s ideology swept a new movement across the country. His goal of independence coupled with fearlessness and fortitude fueled patriotism in many people. His entry into Indian politics gave a new dimension to the freedom struggle in the country,” expressed Dr. Bhuvan Lal researcher on Netaji, film maker and a renowned writer while talking to the audience.

“His life is a great example of leadership from which modern Indian leaders can learn many lessons. He was enthusiastic, disciplined, selfless and inspiring leader with strong confidence on his own capability and a clear goal of independent India,” added Bhuvan Lal.

Later Sandeep Marwah presented a certificate of appreciation to Bhuvan Lal and handed over membership certificates of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Forum to the new members inducted. The event was supported by International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry.
