Pathways School Noida (PSN) has today delivered the fourth training session on IB MYP Curriculum, after a special request from the Government of Delhi came to train Delhi Government school teachers. The training session was provided complimentary and was organized to fulfil the government's agenda of bringing international curriculum to the Delhi Board of School Education (DBSE). More than 70 teachers from top government schools such as SBV Suraj Mal Vihar, SKV Mayur Vihar Phase 1 Pocket 4, SKV Suraj Mal Vihar, SKV Laxmi Nagar, SKV Vivek Vihar, and many others attended the session.

During the Training Program, PSN apprised teachers about various aspects of the IB such as vertical curriculum planning support, intro to the IB curriculum, familiarizing with IB terminologies, training on the vertical as well as the horizontal alignment of the content and an overview of inquiry based teaching, alongwith the interdisciplinary learning and action that can be taken by the students.

Feeling proud to be chosen as the teacher for the training programme, Dr. Shalini Advani, Director, Pathways School Noida, said, “Pathways Schools are among the top IB schools in India and the only IB Continuum school chain in North India. We are extremely proud that our teachers have the dedication to freely volunteer extra time to promote this learning. It is creditable how the Government of Delhi understood the benefits of IB education and gave us the opportunity to share our knowledge and expertise with the government school teachers. ”

The sessions have helped teachers to get an idea about IB philosophy, curriculum and the paradigm shift in the teaching methods, assessments and providing equal opportunity to the students to participate in the classroom. Teachers have been able to successfully construct unit plans in collaboration with their colleagues and are able to get clarity on the concept of skill and concept-based curriculum.

In days to come Pathways School Noida, will conduct 3 or more such sessions and aims to train around 300 to 350 teachers through the training programme.
