New Delhi: “We are happy to appreciate the efforts of Sandeep Marwah in forming and running indo Polish Film and Cultural Forum now for almost Eight years. His interest in developing and promoting relation between the two countries must be supported,” said H.E. Adam Burakowski Ambassador of Poland to India in a grand function at Hotel Eros organized by Charu Das of C D Foundation while handing over the memento to Marwah.
“Sandeep Marwah is a cultural Ambassador and has been involved in big way to promote culture of India and many countries. Government has also nominated him as the Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts. He has been also supporting the activities of CD Foundation from day one,” said Charu Das expressing the need to promote culture and business with Poland.
Eight years back Sandeep Marwah in association with Embassy of Poland created Indo Polish Film Association which was later extended to Indo Polish Film and Cultural Forum. The visit of Dr Marwah to Poland added a lot to the relations when he inaugurated the Gadina and Gdansk film festival. Sandeep Marwah is also the first Indian to receive Gate of Freedom Award from Poland for his contribution to Cinema. Large important events had taken place under this organisation from time to time.
