British Columbia-based Q Academy, a pioneer in tech-focused education, taps into online learning with the soft-launching of Q Academy Kids (QA Kids), a coding and design platform for young people.

With the increased internet adoption and the rising demand for real-time accessible training globally, Q Academy makes this timely shift from purely on-campus delivery to the addition of virtual delivery methods through QA Kids.

“Q Academy is known for delivering short-term training for individuals and corporate learners with a focus on upgrading their skills. It has been offering in-person summer tech camps, after-school and professional development courses for kids in Vancouver and Victoria, BC, and now with Q Academy Kids, we are able to extend our reach across the nation," says Q Academy Campus Manager Rachael McPherson.

QA Kids, which caters to ages 6 to 18 years old, aims to empower the youth with life skills and gives them a head start to future success through tech-based education. It offers one-on-one or group online classes on coding, Minecraft, graphic design, comic creation, 3D animation, digital marketing, and photography among others.

“By making available our range of sought-after courses for kids in a virtual space, we are able to create an entirely new playground within Canada and even potentially beyond borders where kids could learn to code or create art from the comfort of their own homes,” notes Q Academy Chief Growth Officer Zavosh Zaboliyan.

Designed with learning flexibility in mind, QA Kids enables parents to choose the courses and the schedule of classes best suited for their kids. It also makes available trial classes for free. QA Kids puts a premium on youth safety as well, with online classes making use of secure servers and a stringent vetting process in place for instructors as part of the site’s enhanced security features.

Q Academy is managed by MSM Higher Ed, the education management segment of international education company M Square Media (MSM), that provides comprehensive campus management solutions including standardized policy and procedures for program design and development, integrated student information systems, and learning management platforms and practices.

“Q Academy has reached a pivotal point as a promising EdTech leader in coding, gaming, and design courses to shape future-ready kids,” says MSM Higher Ed President Donna Hooker.
