Rashtra Hit Sewa Sangathan an extension of Rotary Club, Gurgaon organised a health and hygiene awareness camp for young girls. The event was organised to spread the awareness among young girls not only about the hygiene but also about their daily diet and other problems like menstrual cycles and how to deal with it.



​​There were many eminent personalities present in the event to give their support to this meaningful cause. Senior Gynaecologist and Director of the CK Birla Hospital, Gurgaon, Dr. Aruna Kalra was also present in the event and shared her valuable thoughts with the young girls. Speaking about the event Dr Kalra said, “There is a need to spread the awareness among young girls about balanced iron and protein rich diet, importance of exercise and outdoor games for their overall development and about hygiene practices during menstrual cycles. If girls were not aware about these topics then how would they be able to understand the intricacies about these issues.”



Dr. Kalra also spoke about the Good and Bad Touch and how girls should be trained to deal with these delicate problems. There are many cases coming up across the country about sexual assault with young school going girls. That is why it is more important to spread awareness on these issues.



​​Young participants were very much engaged in the whole session and eager to gain knowledge and awareness from the speakers. The event was very successful as many participants actively participated and enjoyed the newly gained knowledge.Rashtra Hit Sewa Sangathan promised to organised many such events in the future also.
