New Delhi: A postage stamp to comrade 150th Anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, the Government of Czech Republic released a stamp on Mahatma Gandhi at Embassy of Czech Republic in New Delhi.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of AAFT University, the visiting Director General of Ministry of Trade from Czech Republic Richard Hlavaty, Milan Hovorka Ambassador of Czech Republic to India, released the Stamp. Roman Masarik Deputy Head of The Mission conducted the event.
“It is great pleasure and honor for me to release the new postage stamp on Mahatma Gandhi designed by the Government of Czech Republic to remember him on his 150th Anniversary. The people of India are touched by the gesture of Government of Czech Republic,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor AAFT University & President ICMEI.
“Mahatma Gandhi has been not only Indian Hero but he is considered as the great international personality. You will find the largest number of Books, Films, Stamps and Statues on Mahatma Gandhi in the World. He has been considered as the most popular public figure in the World,” added Dr. Marwah.
Richard Hlavaty Director General Department of Foreign Economic Policy also spoke on the occasion. H.E. Milan Hovorka thanked the guest of honor and the large audience consisting of Ambassadors, High Commissioners, Diplomats and people from business, art and culture fraternity. |
