Street Fighters Karate group has trained about 3000 rural children free of cost.

Now, her group, Street Fighters Karate has trained about 3000 rural children free of cost. Most of them are school drop-outs. Bhavna Chaubey , a 22 -year-old girl is karate trainer in degree college and under her many children are learning karate. She said that, stamina of village girl’s is more than as compared to urban girls and training them in any martial art is comparatively easier. Teasing, groping, molesting girls on streets may not be possible in our area; we are training rural girls for karate classes free of cost in which techniques to encounter any unexpected incident is being given. Ritesh Tiwari, a 25-year-old boy is head of this team who mobilise girls especially from remote areas and train them with new techniques, so that they can teach college girls. Now, poeple from their group have also represented at national-level karate competition . It is imperative to always be aware of your surroundings when you are travelling alone, be it day or night. Minimum nine months training is required and women at the age group of 6 years to 50-years-old women are being trained. This group is also planning to expertise major urban cities in State so that this group can get more exposure. For this purpose they are working with the leadership project ‘Change Loomers’ Synergy NGO with support from UNICEF.
